A Sneak Peak at a New Boutique

I know I haven't blogged in a little while, but I promise I haven't been sitting around doing nothing. Quite the opposite!

I've been "busy as a bee" in my sewing room, creating and designing, playing with fabric, and rediscovering a talent that I tucked away for several years.

Before Cavaliers completely stole my heart and took over so much of my life, sewing and designing were a huge part of it. I've been a seamstress for many years. I taught quilting classes, designed quilt patterns, and once upon a time created custom wedding dresses and wedding lines. I also had the privileged of sewing custom figure skating dresses and costumes.

If you know anything about Figure skating costumes, you likely know one very important detail: I have always loved a little sparkle.

Okay.... maybe a lot of sparkle. So how did all of this lead to a Cavalier boutique?

It all started with fabric for a toy specialty show I'm sponsoring.

I was looking for a cute fabric with cavaliers on it and simply found there is very little out there. Eventually I decided if I can't find it, I'll design it myself.

Apparently I had a lot of ideas buzzing around in my head...

One fabric design became five. Five became ten. And now I have more than 40 Cavalier fabric designs that I have created and had printed.

My sewing studio has officially become a combination of a fabric shop, design studio, and of course cute Cavalier helpers.

And that is how The Honeycomb Boutique began.

Welcome to the Honeycomb Boutique........

The Honeycomb Boutique will be a special little corner of the ZinaBee website, filled with handmade goodies for people who love Cavaliers as much as I do.

I already have three different bag designs that I will be sharing soon, along with lead organizers, adorable snoods, and plenty of other ideas that are still buzzing around waiting for their turn at the sewing machine.

These won't be your ordinary Cavalier goodies. Remember those Skating costumes?

The sparkle is coming back! I'll be using beautiful crystals and stones to add some extra bling to select pieces, because I firmly believe Cavaliers and sparkle belong together.

After all, our Cavaliers already behave as the royalty they descend from. We might as well accessorize accordingly.

This is only a sneak peak at what's coming.

Over the next little while I will be showing you fabric choices, Introducing bag styles, and sharing snoods, and lead organizers, giving you a peek behind the scenes as The Honeycomb Boutique gets ready to open its doors online.

I hope you'll follow along and see what "all the buzz is about".

Soon You'll be able to find The Honeycomb Boutique right here on the ZinaBee website.

Made with love. Inspired by Cavaliers.

Created with a little honey.... and finished with plenty of sparkle.

I’m in love with your fabric and designs. You are very talented! Love the sparkle ideas. I had a beloved Boston Terrier I named Bling 😂. Consider me all in and can’t wait for more. Especially love the fabric with the Blenheim and 🦋 🦋’s. Charlene & Buddy 🐶
