Rebel Has Some Exciting News...
We have been keeping a very exciting little secret, and today we finally got the news we've been waiting for....
Rebel is expecting puppies!!
Today we found out that Rebel is carrying 5 to 6 puppies, with her due date falling the last week of October. This means Halloween Puppies! We couldn't be more excited to welcome another beautiful litter of little Cavaliers into the Zina Bee family.
For this breeding we carefully selected a beautiful tricolor boy whose pedigree complements Rebel's in a way we are especially excited about. Both pedigrees have some very remarkable dogs. We are bringing together lines that we know and admire while also introducing something new into this litter. This pedigree includes some very recognizable names from the Kennel Of An Excellent Choice, including Riverdale, Hot Toddy, and Womanizer.
These are lines we have admired and are thrilled to see what this pairing may produce.
Just as important as beauty and pedigrees is health testing. Both Rebel and the sire of this litter have completed all Breed specific health testing including; OFA health testing as well as DNA testing for heritable diseases.
We put a tremendous amount of thought into every breeding, and comprehensive health testing is an important part of the decisions we make for our dogs and future generations.
In many ways this breeding has similarities to Rebel's previous litter, which makes it even more exciting for us. Her last litter gave us some absolutely beautiful show puppies, and we are hoping to see many of those same qualities again while adding another carefully selected line to the pedigree.
This time, we may get a little more color!
With this handsome tricolor sire, we are hoping for a beautiful combination of Blenheim and Tricolor puppies, with some beautiful markings.
Of course pedigree plans can only tell us so much. Mother Nature gets the final vote! For now, our biggest wish is for a healthy Rebel, safe delivery, and a beautiful thriving litter.
Rebel is an incredibly special part of Zina Bee Cavaliers. She has already given us puppies we are tremendously proud of, and we are excited to watch her become a mother once again.
So now the countdown begins.....
Five or Six Little Pumpkins just in time for Halloween.
It sounds a little like our Halloween treats this year might arrive with four little paws, silky ears and lots of puppy kisses.
Stay tuned to the Latest Buzz at Zina Bee as we count down to the arrival of Rebel's 5 or 6 little pumpkins ....Our sweetest Halloween treats wrapped in love and sprinkled with Zina Bee magic!
