What a Way to End Our Show Season !
Updated: Sep 17
What a weekend! Or should I say, oh my five days!!
We just wrapped up a wonderful five-day show weekend right here in South Jordan, Utah. I don't think we could have asked for a more exciting way to bring our show season to a close. There were good friends, beautiful dogs, and lots of cheering from the ringside. Best part, some wins that I think we will be talking about for a very long time!

Starting with the Beehive Toy Group...
The weekend began with two days of a specialty show with the Beehive Toy Group, which made this show especially fun for us.
My dear friend Lisa Ross and I sponsored the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in the show. I had a fun time making snoods and filling prize bags for all the winners. Lisa's husband Jeff Ross, even made stacking blocks in a beautiful complete boxed set for the Best of Breed winners each day. It was so much fun being part of the show behind the scenes as well as stepping into the ring with our own dogs.
And those Zinabee kids decided to start the weekend off with a buzz!
On Thursday, September 10, under Judge Ronald Horne
Zinabee All Eyes On Me (Dutton) earned Reserve Winners Dog after winning his puppy class.
ZinaBee With Love to Cordoba (Cord) Won his bred by puppy class.
ZinaBee Sugar and Spice (Coco) won her bred by Puppy class
Friday September 11, under Judge Emily Fish, things got even more exciting.
Cord won Winners dog
Dutton won Reserve Winners dog
Little did we know that those two days were simply setting the stage for Saturday....
..... And Then Came Saturday.........
Saturday September 12, at the Bonneville Basin Kennel Club, is a show day I don't think any of us will ever forget.
Under Judge Terry L. Berrios, our little Dutton absolutely took our breath away!
Still showing from the 9-12 month puppy class Dutton won:
Winners Dog
Best of Winners
Best of Breed
Best Owner Handled

And that alone would have been an incredible day, But he wasn't finished!
Dutton went on to earn an Owner Handled Group Three and then continued his amazing day by winning Best Puppy in show Group 4.
Somewhere in the middle of all of this excitement was an incredible 5- point major!
What makes this win even more remarkable is that this young puppy walked into a ring filled with seasoned competition and defeated TEN CHAMPIONS, in addition to the class dogs he had already competed against.
A Puppy. Our Puppy!
It was one of those moments where you almost have to remind yourself to breathe.
I am incredibly proud of Lisa Ross, who co-owns Dutton with me. She has done a wonderful job with this boy, Dutton adores her, He loves to show, and the two of them have become such a special team. He is a natural little show dog with that wonderful "look at me" attitude that makes his registered name (ZinaBee All Eyes on Me) seem even more appropriate everytime he steps into the ring.
Ivy Giampapa and I are so Proud of Lisa and this beautiful boy! Watching a puppy we bred together, grow, thrive, and accomplish something like this is one of those very special breeder moments that stays tucked in our hearts forever.
Sunday September 13th, we showed under Judge Rick Gschwender, and Dutton came right back ready to work! Lisa showed him beautifully in the classes and won Winners Dog. Then I had the opportunity to take him back in to the ring, where he went on to win Best of Winners adding even more points toward his championship.

Cord Says, "Don't Forget About Me!"
By the final day, apparently Cord had decided he wasn't taking reserve again, and his brother had received quite enough attention for the one weekend!
On Monday September 14, under Judge Lee Kouski, Cord earned his second Winners dog win of the weekend, with Dutton taking reserve.
Way to go Cord!! He and Dutton are neck in neck in points and Majors toward Championship.

As wonderful as the ribbons and points were, one of my favorite parts of these 5 days was simply having Lisa there.
I love the friendship I have with her, and I am so grateful Dutton is with her. Being able to stand ringside together and cheer for one another, celebrate each other's wins, and occasionally compete against each other makes this crazy- dog show adventure even more fun.
Seeing this Kingdom Ravello Julio X IVYLINE GYLDEN Littlest Rebel litter together again was pretty special too.
They are still babies with so much growing and maturing ahead of them, yet they are already giving us little glimpses of what their futures may hold.
If this weekend was any indication, 2027 could be a very exciting year for these ZinaBee kids. For now, though, we are wrapping up our show season with very full hearts, beautiful ribbons, an unforgettable Best in Breed win, and a whole lot of wonderful memories.
And while the show leads may be getting hung up for a little while, things at ZinaBee certainly aren't getting quiet.
We are Hopefully waiting on some very exciting puppy news. So keep following the Latest Buzz. Because if all goes as hoped we may have something very special to share soon!
