Blackfoot was one of those weekends that reminded us why we love this sport. It had it's highs, its lows, plenty of laughs and tears, and memories we'll cherish for years to come.

Rebel had an incredible weekend. She earned select bitch 2 days from a very large group of specials. Our low happened on friday when she was not seen in this very large class of specials. This was hard for us, as it was the first time in 2 years she has not placed in a line up. I started doubting and wondering if our goal of Bronze this year is crazy. I soon realized I was wrong for feeling that way. Rebel finished strong by taking Best of Breed, Best Owner Handled, and an Owner Handled group 2.

A special thank you to Judge Jamie Hubbard, who absolutely adored Rebel. He even asked if we could take a picture of him holding her, and handed me his phone to take the picture.

The Judge told us Rebel has a beautiful face and head, one that isn't seen very often. Hearing those words made me incredibly proud. Anyone who knows Rebel knows she is special, but it was wonderful to have a judge recognize it too!

Rebel provided me with this weekend's funniest lesson. I discovered that outdoor rings and I-watches don't mix. Since Rebel loves chasing bugs and shadows, the light reflecting from my watch onto the ground quickly became far more interesting than showing!

Cord continued to impress, winning his class everyday earning 4 points toward his POA.

Sunday, the final day, turned out to be his big day! He earned First in his class, Winner's Dog, and Best of Winners for his first major under Judge Jamie Hubbard. Cord has his Mother's eyes and face and the Judge was quick to notice that, along with his beautiful structure and movement. He is a well rounded Puppy!

One of my favorite moments of this show was when, Andy had to take Cord in the Best of Breed ring, since I was showing Rebel. We ended up side by side in the winning line up, in spots one and two. It was great to be there together!

Dutton, who is owned by and lives with Lisa Ross, Joined us in Blackfoot and looked fantastic! He earned Reserve Winners Dog and showed like a seasoned champion. Although he wasn't feeling his best on the final day, The Judge told us afterward that Dutton would have likely been his Winners dog had he been feeling happier. We know this youngster has a bright future ahead.

Coco had a wonderful weekend as well, winning her class everyday earning four points toward her Puppy of Achievements Award.

The girl who is a total clown at home is still a little shy in the ring, but is getting better every time she goes in.

Rainey, also had a successful weekend with Andy. She placed second in her class each day, but more importantly, she's learning to love the show ring. She happily runs up to judges, does beautifully on the table, and gains confidence every time she shows.

Andy and Rainey are turning into quite the little team together.

The biggest highlight was having Rebel and three of her puppies together at the same show. Watching them reunite was so much fun. It was like they had never been apart, playing and loving on each other all weekend long.

And now some of the candid photos we took around the fair grounds...

When it's bed time, Coco is almost always the one to let us know. She looks so tired in this picture after a full day of activities.

Blackfoot gave us ribbons, reunions, laughter and memories we'll never forget. Not a bad weekend at all.

Until next time, keep chasing your dreams... and leave the shadow chasing to Rebel-
